Prosecutors stated that the housemate notified law enforcement that Tyler Robinson had directed him to search below a computer accessory where a written confession was apparently discovered.

Officials disclosed that the individual was transitioning and maintained a close bond with the suspect.

Below we share the entire log of the messaging thread that took place on the day of the incident, shared by the individual to the police.

Digital Conversation

Suspect: drop what you are doing, check beneath my computer keyboard.

When the roommate looked below that item, a note was located that apparently stated: "I was given the chance to take out the commentator and I'm going to do it."

Housemate: "What is this? This is a joke, right????

Accused: I am still ok my love, but I’m trapped in this area a bit longer. Shouldn't be long until I can come home, but I need to get my gun though. Honestly I had hoped to keep this secret through my life. I apologize for including you.

Witness: you didn’t the person committed the act correct?

Suspect: It was me, regrets

Housemate: I thought they caught the individual?

Individual: negative, they grabbed a disturbed elderly man, then interrogated someone in similar clothing. I had planned to grab my rifle where I left it soon after, however much of the area became restricted. Its quiet, nearly sufficient to leave, however, a a car loitering.

Witness: Why?

Accused: Why would I act?

Housemate: Yeah

Suspect: I had enough of the negativity. Some hate is not talked away.

Accused: Should I manage get my gun undetected, there would be zero traces. Planning to try to retrieve it again, with luck they moved on. I haven't seen any information regarding them finding it.

Witness: For what duration have you been preparing for this?

Accused: a bit over a week in my estimation. I am able to approach the spot but there is a squad car parked right by it. It seems they inspected that spot, however, I cannot take the chance.

Individual: I am disappointed that I returned to retrieve it immediately after I reached my vehicle.... I am concerned what dad might say should I fail to hand back grandpas rifle ... unsure if it had a serial number, yet it should not link back to me. I am anxious regarding prints I had to leave it in a bush where I changed clothing. didn't have the opportunity or moment to bring it with.... It could be necessary to leave it behind and pray it is not discovered fingerprints. how ever should I rationalize its loss to my old man....

the single object I deposited was the weapon covered in fabric....

think back to I was engraving bullets? The [expletive] messages are mostly a big meme, if I see specific terms on news platforms I might have a stroke alright im gonna let it go, that is unfortunate.... from this day I'd say grandpas gun works well idk. I think that might be a $2k scope;-;

Individual: remove this conversation

Accused: my father requests pictures of the rifle ... he mentions grandpa inquires who has what, federal agents shared a photo of the rifle, and it is quite distinct. He is contacting me rn, not responding.

Accused: from the time got into office dad turned extremely devoted maga.

Suspect: Im gonna give myself up without resistance, a nearby resident happens to be a official in the department.

Suspect: you represent all I worry about love

Witness: I am considerably anxious regarding you

Individual: refrain from contacting journalists please. don't take conversations or make statements. ... should law enforcement ask you questions ask for an attorney and remain quiet
