Helicopter Spins Wildly into Palm Trees at Popular Southern California Beach
A helicopter soaring above a popular southern California shoreline abruptly commenced twirling out of control, ultimately dropping height and crashing into a cluster of palm trees as spectators looked on.
Videos shared on social media capture the aircraft beginning to twirl over Huntington Beach then falling near the edge of the shore, where it ends up lodged between palms and a set of stairs close to the Pacific Coast highway.
Emergency Response Update
Local firefighters reported five individuals were taken to hospital comprising a pair who were in the chopper and were “rescued from the debris” following the crash on Saturday.
Three individuals on the road were harmed. Specifics on their condition were still under review.
What led to the incident was not yet disclosed.

Authorities said the chopper was connected to an annual “Cars with Copters” benefit occasion set for the next day.
