Paramount Skydance Plans to Remove Nearly 2,000 American Positions – Report

Paramount Skydance is scheduled to begin mass layoffs beginning on 27 October, eliminating nearly 2,000 positions in the United States under a expense reduction strategy valued at $2bn overseen by CEO David Ellison.

These job cuts come after the combination between Skydance Media and Paramount Global, finalized this past August with a value of $8.4bn.

Additional overseas workforce reductions are anticipated, as the firm aiming to disclose all specifics during its Q3 financial results scheduled for November 10.

Previous updates suggested that Paramount was looking to reduce between 2,000 and 3,000 roles before the start of November.

As of December 2024, the company had nearly 18,600 full- and part-time employees plus 3,500 project-based staff.
